Our Philosophy
Mr. Jagdish Khattar lived by the mantra: “The country comes first”.
His rich and illustrious legacy, both as an iconoclastic civil servant and as a visionary corporate leader, is a testimony to his passion for service and his dedication to India. He believed in serving the nation by serving its citizens.
Mr. Khattar was a staunch proponent of affordable green mobility, at scale, as the most effective way to address critical global challenges of pollution and climate change. He believed that mobility has the power to not just change an individual’s life but positively transform the entire nation.
Jagdish Khattar Foundation is a continuation of Mr. Khattar’s vision of nation-building through making mobility accessible, sustainable and affordable.
We are inspired by Mr. Khattar’s vision of mobility as the engine for equitable growth in India.

Our Approach
We take a synergistic approach to the core areas of improving access to mobility.
Our IMPACT focussed initiatives are centred around grassroots level organisations working with local communities to bring mobility solutions to individuals.
As part of our INCLUDE initiatives, we work on projects aimed at upskilling, community building and facilitating access to mobility solutions to underprivileged and under-represented individuals and communities.
Through INNOVATE, we support businesses and individuals dedicated to building original mobility solutions designed to serve local mobility needs.
Our INSPIRE initiatives are focussed on creating knowledge-sharing platforms and forums to showcase and share successful models and innovative ideas in the mobility sector.
Our INSIGHTS efforts include building information hubs, training platforms and knowledge banks to make data and research in the mobility sector accessible to our ecosystem partners.
As part of our INFLUENCE initiatives, we are committed to liaising with state agencies and bureaucratic channels to formulate and roll-out policy decisions that promote affordable green mobility.
Our INVESTMENTS division is dedicated to connecting startups and enterprises in the mobility sector with resources, investors and mentors in the green mobility space.
